Please pray for me everyone. I have fallen greatly today. It is disgusting i know. I really believe i can do better though. My heart is yearning to try again and succeed. Please pray that i will pick myself up, avoid the things that bring me temptation, and please pray for my forgiveness. Thanks everyone.

Zach,

Don't beat yourself up too much, we all fail at times. Confess and repent and then move on.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your saviour then you have already been set free! That is the good news!  Satan is using the failures in our lives to blind us to that freedom. I've found that when I'm tempted  that if I read the Bible for 5 mins the temptation will pass. Remember, God loves you because of who He is not because of what you do or don't do. Keep seeking Him and good things will happen, I guarantee it!

You are in my prayers,

Bob

First of all, if you confess with a contrite heart, you are forgiven by God.  That is His promise - not mans.

Secondly, do not despair or feel helpless by set-backs.  You are not infallable nor perfect.  Brush off your knees friend and stand back up.  Ask yourself 'why' you relasped.  What can you learn from this setback.  There is always a lesson to be learned.  I learn more about myself by my failures than my successes.

Also, it may seem continuous, but if you really broke it down, there is a gap between what you thought about and what you actually did.  God always gives you a way out, but it is up to you to take it.  That is where alot of guilt comes from.

Lastly, go to your church and speak to your priest/minister.  Confess, and as my priest told me, "If you cannot find mercy in the Church, where will you?"
