I participated in group for wives of intimacy anorexics again yesterday.  It is tremendously helpful.  I learned yesterday that several of the "husbands" to the women in this group are sex addicts, intimacy anorexics and chemically dependent.  One is a meth addict, several others are alcoholics.  I think this is where I need to be.

Ladies, please, reach out......find the support you need........get help.........never accept depression and/or living in a relationship with an active addict.

My best,  DW

Hi Need2BFree,

I just saw your question. I apologize for the delay in responding. I made connections with a therapist who specializes in intimacy anorexia and a corresponding support group by contacting the American Association of Sex Addiction Therapy at 719-330-2425.

I attended my third group session today and these women are like my soul sisters. Our experiences are very similar. It's wonderful to be able to share and verbalize the experiences we've all had. Verbalizing it helps to get it out.

My best, DW

I have two children diagnosed with Ausbergers. It is hard for them to recognize others feelings, plus accepting intimacy themselves. My two children love hugs, but are both very isolation people. My daughter spends most of her days in her room on her computer. It is a rare treat to have her in the living room spending time with the family.
