How do I make sure that email notifications of replies are not sent to me?

Hi:
I don't want to have to leave this board, but I will if I keep getting email notifications as to when replies to topics are posted. My email address is also my business address, and I simply cannot have these confidential and sensitive issues floating around in cyberspace since the notification of posted replies obviously links to the original post.
I have addressed this before, and also changed it a few days ago in my preferences. And yet, the notices continue to arrive.
Please let me know if there is anything else I should do. I have deleted my other posts temporarily so that I will not get any more replies until this is resolved.
I see that the bottom of the post includes a checkbox as to requesting notification or not. This was checked for my previous posts, but I assumed that since I changed it in the preferences that it would be cancelled. Perhaps all I need to do is just uncheck this.

Best,
SD

Hi self discovery,

"Yes, unchecking the boxes should take care of it.  If not, please send a PM to either Mike, Barb, or myself.  I am removing the post from the introduction
forum.  The comments and questions forum might have been suitable for this post, but not introduction."

I can't know whether or not you sent a PM to Mike or Barb, but you did not send one to me, and then you posted the same question in the introduction forum, which, as you see, I have moved to where it should have been posted and will notify Mike and Barb myself of this thread.

Yes, every single box, on threads past, present, and future, as well as in your user settings, must be unchecked.  Also, you could change your e-mail to a free web-based e-mail so if there are any future problems they will not be going to your work address.
