I have a question regarding the navigation related to the forum. I have looked in the help section and what was there does not see to work. I'm having the same problem whether I'm using Firefox or IE.
When you click on a topic and go in and read how do you get back to the sub forum or the main forum page? So far all I seem to be able to do is click on Home or the logo and go back to the main website page and then have to click on Forums to get back to the main forum page.
Thanks in advance...

| Yeah, I have discovered the same thing. I'll report it to the site administrator.

Thanks in advance... I just use the "Back" button on my browser (or more commonly, I hit command-left arrow on my Mac).

That functionality does not exist or is not working properly at the moment. I have emailed the site administrator to alert him.
Thanks!

Interesting. On an Intel Mac with the latest versions of OS 10.5 and Firefox it works fine, if that data point helps your developer.

Hey guys,
I'll be the first to admit that the forums interface will not win any prizes for take-your-breath-away design!
I think you're looking for a feature called "breadcrumbs".
The forums use a particular software package that doesn't allow for much customization. Further, our staff has had no experience with this program and funding doesn't allow for upgrading or switching to a platform with which we have more experience. We had significant difficulty getting it to work at all in our web interface.
Please follow Tim's suggestion - use the "back" button. If we get an unexpected windfall, this'll be something we'd consider.

| Thanks for the update, Bil. Yes, breadcrumb navigation is one sort of navigation that would fit the bill.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll bookmark the actual forum main page and use it to return back to the main forum after posting. I can use the back button to move around just fine. But when you post a reply or something and then hit the back button you'll get back to the box where you typed yoru reply.
I can certainly understand that there are limitations. And that's okay with me. I was just wondering if there was a module or something I was missing and could just download something. No worries.. .

That's true, but if you keep clicking back, you can move back to the forum and to the home page. You may have to make sure you don't have a flashing insertion cursor in the posting box. (Click on the page outside the box if you do.) At least this works for me.
I quite agree that none of this is a big deal, though.
Cheers,

I looked at some other sites with forums using this same system and they all appear to have the same navigation (or lack thereof). Either way, it is nothing more than an inconvenience. What is important is that we are here sharing our hearts with each other and praying together!

Through some detective work, I may have an answer. My standard operating procedure is using IE6 on a Windows XP system, and links for the page hierarchy show just fine for me. However, in current Firefox, it looked like an entirely different page. In the view menu of FF, there are options for page styles, and default seems to be "basic." Switching it to "no style," however, showed the breadcrumbs. There don't seem to be such style preferences in IE6, but perhaps there are in later versions.
What can I say... Perhaps some of us dinosaurs who lag behind in updating actually do have some advantages.

Interesting. I use IE7 by default on this site. Perhaps the forum system was written targeting IE6.
Thanks for the info!

I am using FireFox and when I went to the "My Account" section and changed the STYLE of board to use it helped. It was currently set to "Shades" and I changed it to Default2 and it now shows the links under the Blazing Grace logo. It won't take you back to the main forum page but it will at least allow you to go back to the subforum level. I created a quick bookmark that goes to the main forum page that I can click to go back that final level.
Thanks for the help guys...
