Hi Carl,
Welcome to BG.
Well, I'm not a guy, and have never been in the industry, so take my two cents for what they're worth.
First, I'm sure you like some movies that do not have anything to do with porn.  What makes your favorites your favorites?  Good acting.  All actors and actresses get paid what they do because they have the ability to get in to the role and make their character seem believable.
Second, there is the same factor that draws you to them, addiction.  When some women are addicted to drugs, either to the point that they can't hold down a job, and/or don't have sufficient skills to earn enough for their habit, they will do just about anything for their high.
Third, whether or not drugs are involved, many teen runaways end up in the industry for lack of other marketable skills, just to survive.  And, of course, there is the unspeakable abuse of human trafficking, abducting the vulnerable, both here and abroad, and literally enslaving them, to perform or  be additionally abused, likely both.
Fourth, consider what it is that keeps drawing you to porn.  Does it, in some strange way, make you feel good about yourself?  I submit that poor self-esteem is another major factor.  Let's say a young woman has not been affirmed by her family growing up, or, perhaps, her father has been absent/rejecting, she may be willing to do anything to receive the male attention she craves, confusing sex with love.
Fifth, unfortunately, there are those girls who have been sexually abused from such a young age that being exploited by men is all they know.
Sixth, there are probably a few who get a kick out of having power over men through their hormonal vulnerability.

What I can assure you of, is that no physically and emotionally healthy woman is going to enjoy being malled by strangers.

There are many women who have escaped the porn trap, and many of their stories may be found online, though I will not provide any links here, since some of the members here could find even former "stars" a problem.

Most unfortunately, I personally knew people involved in the skin industry.  It is actually a tragic story and I won't go into details.  One partially happy ending is that the one person I knew the best is no longer doing those things.  But they carry residual damage none-the-less.

They and their friends said this:  (from women)  most of the women involved in sex trade hate men.  They come from sexual abuse situations and carry a deep-set anger and hatred against men.  They fake most of what they portray because they love to entice men.  They like to seduce them as it makes them feel they have power.  The majority of women in the skin-trade are lesbians and have little actual interest in men other than what they can get out of them.

The one thing they universally have in common is addiction to vanity.  They loved being photographed and made-over and lusted after.  It may do absolutely nothing for them sexually, but it is a total thrill to them to see their pictures splashed everywhere.  The money may not be good at all or just enough to get by.  But the ability to entice others is very important to their ego.   Drugs are frequently involved as they numb the senses and allow them to degrade themselves and still get a thrill from being watched and a thrill from degrading the men who watch them.  Also, what Truthseeker said about women addicted to drugs is true.  Addicts often get into their habit so far they can't afford it and will do anything to stay high.  But even in that their is often a history of sexual abuse or promiscuity involved.

Sorry if this is too unvarnished for some.

Lust and illicit sexuality for both men and women is bound in the vain imaginations of the mind and is perverted just as the Bible describes it.  The heart ends up desiring harmful, hurtful, disgusting things, because the appetitites become subject to the foolishness of a darkened heart.  What we enjoy becomes dark, sick, and ugly.  Vanity has it's special way of doing this.

Hey Carl,
Thanks for your post.
Here's the truth about porn actresses. It's an article written by Blazing Grace's friend, Shelley Lubben, ex-porn actress.

That was a very good link.  God bless and help that woman and honor her for telling the truth.

I wanted to add one more thing.

We should consider with great weight of thought, that our actions contribute to the sins of others.  We contribute to their disobedience of God and all the horrible pain in their lives and potentially - their eternal damnation.

Every time we purchase pornography - we contribute to their sinful disobedience and their enslavement.   And free sites might be free to you, but your clicks and views are kept on counters and statistics that the site producers use to get advertisers to kick in money.  So your free sites don't let you off the hook for your sinful contribution to others downfall.

In all of our repenting, let us remember to repent of all the hurt and harm we've caused others by our sins - even when we think that we've cleverly not contributed - we have.

God bless us with Love for God and a Sorrowful Spirit of Repentance unto Conversion and Salvation.

Hi Carl,
One more thought...
Why do you suppose you would be more inclined to remain "sinking in deep dirt and mud," just because others may be appearing to enjoy it?  If you found yourself in a pigpen, having been deceived in to thinking you were a pig, destined to wallow in the muck forever, but then learned that you were truly a majestic eagle, created to soar in the skies above, would you remain with those who had not yet learned that, or let the slime be cleansed from your body so you could fly?

I would clean up and fly. I would try to get the other eagles there to come with me too... But again having this addiction to lesbians porn movies is wicked to me cuz to me they can enjoy it, whereas men and women together they fake..

I just got called for a Job this day and am excited cuz I will be gone away from my PC for 7 hours a day, come home after and sleep 8 hours and wake up and keep busy till i gotta work again. thus leaving less idle time for me to cruse the net...

I figure one way or another im breaking out of this demon thats trying to hold me down in the porn... He will loose his hold on me and I am free in Yeshua's name Amein.. Praise Adonai....

I appreciate this series of posts. One thing I would always gloss over is the sense that no self-respecting person could be a part of the porn industry. But in my selfishness, I didn't dwell on that very long (obviously) because I "needed" to get my fix. Imagine if, like in the cigarette and--more and more of late--the abortion industry, the pornography industry had to post warnings about the potential hazards of viewing and acting in pornography.

I also appreciate Truthseeker's post that talks about how we are meant to soar. In fact, my username, rom517mm, is based on Romans 5:17 (see below my post), with the "mm" standing for "much more". The verse basically talks about how while Adam brought death, MUCH MORE do we who are in Christ reign in life. I shouldn't just want myself and others to merely avoid sin, I (and, I believe God) want us to soar in life. Right now I'm avoiding lust because I know it could destroy my marriage. I want one day to be able to see a scantily dressed woman and be more upset about he plight than I am excited about her sexuality. For now, if I see such an image I'm able, by God's grace, to turn away and not dwell on what I just saw. Because my first response is being sexually turned on, so I know that right now I can't allow myself to think of that picture in any way. She also should be soaring in Christ, and any less than that should upset me. I can't pray for specific women in pornography because images of them might lead me to lust, so for now I'll have to pray more generically.
