Hello, this is the fist time for me here.  I've never belonged to an online accountability site before.  I've had struggles with homosexuality, pornography(usually homosexual), and masturbation.  I realize this is a fight I cannot do on my own.  I realize, or am learning to realize that God is for me and not against me and doesnt hate me. Even when I fall, or make the choices that I do.  So, am looking for accountability and people to stand besides and to stand beside me as well.  Thanks, freedompdx41

Hey and welcome to BG. I hope and pray that you can find what you're looking for here. And if you ever need any specific prayer, then let me know. I'd be more than happy to pray for you. I myself do not struggle with homosexuality, though a family member of mine has, and I have struggled all of my life with pornography and mostly masturbation. But with God and the help of this site I have made it over a month now. My life is SOOOOO much better without those struggles and addictions and I pray that God would reveal to you how much he really does love you!

Sincerely -LoveSick4God

Hey thanks for the greeting and encouragement:) It's so nice and a relief really to have a place to share struggles that for so long have felt like such a horrible secret that you can't share with anyone for fear of who knows what.  I appreciate it very much and just wanted to say Thank you.

I really appreciate your encouragement and offer for prayer.  This is something I've been looking for and wanting to do for so long but haven't found anything or (probably, just did not have the courage to do).  So it's so refreshing actually to have a place to share the struggles and battles with other believers who understand and who have walked the same or similar paths. Thanks:D freedompdx41

The support you get here is amazing, and one of the best things about this site is that it is completely anonymous. I am embarrassed about what I am dealing with and I am both ashamed and afraid of my past. I am afraid to tell people about me because I don't know how they will take it. I don't know if I will ever be able to accept my faults or go to a group and open up face to face, but I know that this site has helped me a lot and everyday I am making baby steps towards becoming the man I want to be. I think just knowing that you are not alone in your struggles is one of the best things that this site offers. We are all in this battle together, and we need to support each other each one of us has something to offer everyone else and together we can win, we can get better. Don't get discouraged or think of giving up when you slip up, think of every mistake as a learning experience. I have slipped up many times, but I know now things that are making this battle easier.

I can SO relate to your comments.  I have had those same thoughts, fears and struggles.  Especially feeling like you don't know how other people are going to respond if you do share what your "really" dealing with.  I've had self esteem and rejection issues to deal with on top of these other things that make it real hard to fully believe that someone is truly genuine or fully being able to trust someone.  However I too have made and am making baby steps towards faith and believing the word of God and not the emotional places of my soul.  Which is a battle in of itself. Anyway, it's nice to have another someone to talk about these things with and believe God together with.  Keep fighting the fight, God is for us and not against us! I try to remember those things when feeling less than able.  Thanks for sharing. freedompdx41
