Ive been trying to stop M-ing now for several years, particularly as I have grown in the
Lord and all of His goodness. I have been doing it since I was 8 years old - before puberty -
and this concerns me as to the chemical/physiological happenings in my body. My puberty
changes were not natural if I was doing that, are they?

There is another issue I have that I will not mention in the forum but would like to talk to
the moderators about in case it is inappropriate - I do it a little different - my fear is it may
encourage others. Hopefully you guys will read this!

But anyways Im 26 and God told me to stop, and I think He is saying He will not give me
a girlfriend and wife until I stop. So I REALLY want to stop. Also God told me He would take
me to the "next level" in my walk, whatever that is. So I have good reasons to stop.

But the pleasure and physical temptation gets me everytime.

Its my hope and prayer that I find help here. And once I do stop, its my pledge to help
others. This is a destructive habit, and God cant advance the Kingdom with the sexually
immoral. I think there is a scripture that states exactly that (but I could be off on that one).

Anywho, I look forward to hearing from some of you gentlemen -

You appear to have the right attitude.  It's encouraging to hear that you have heard clearly from God that this has to stop.

I hope and pray your journey to freedom from this will be shorter than mine has been up to now.  One of the things I am realizing is that only by pushing into the pain am I going to break through the habitual cycle caused by years of sinning this way.
