I have learned in my fight for freedom that it's hard just to never commit the act of masturbation, while still allowing lust a part in your life. Everything has to change. It says in the Bible that if your eye causes you to sin, then remove it from you. In other words, if watching TV or playing video games gives you the urge to masturbate or entertains lust within you, then you need to stop watching TV and playing video games. It doesn't mean that you have to give them up FOREVER, but just as long as it takes until God gives you the permission to do so and until you have enough strength to fight off the temptations and urges. We have to run into God's arms with all that we have in order to be freed from this habit, and it IS possilbe and doable. God is eager to see you free from masturbation, He's NOT angry with you.

Good point LS4G.  Before I had my revelation experience of God, I'd already seen that having a TV was making me into a pretty bad person so I ditched it and that was around the end of 2005.

Yet one I break records, burn pictures, erase discs and hard drives but what I can't do and only God can do is to renew my mind because that is the great revelation to me this week and I've started praying maybe for the first time (or maybe my memory is short) for God to renew my mind.

My heart also needs work but my mind is where many of the wars are being lost.
