Summary:

 

The Celebrate Recovery Leader's Guide describes how to implement a Celebrate Recovery ministry in a church. This program is based on eight principles from the Beatitudes. The Guide begins with an Introduction that:

 

    • suggests ways to launch a 90-day kick-off strategy for the ministry;
    • offers 7 keys to starting a recovery ministry and keeping it growing; and
    • describes meeting formats for small and large groups.

 

The Leader's Guide contains teaching material for each of the 25 group sessions and also includes a testimony that corresponds to the previous session.

This curriculum was developed by John Baker, a recovering alcoholic who is the pastor of ministries at the Saddleback Church.  This book is an essential for any member of a congregation who wants to be a leader in a Celebrate Recovery ministry.  Faith leaders might also want consider obtaining the complete Celebrate Recovery Curriculum.
