Porn and Sexual Addiction Support Group for Men in Phoenix AZ

For those of you who live in the greater Phoenix area, we offer an in- person support group for men who struggle with porn or sex addiction. The group’s emphasis is on accountability, support, putting the principles of Mike Genung’s books into practice, and prayer, with a Christ and grace-centered approach.

The group will provide you with the Biblical tools needed to cope with lust (such as accountability and an understanding of how to deal with sexual temptation), help you flush out the lies in the heart that block the receipt of God’s grace and replace them with the truth as shown in God’s word.

As with all of what we do, the group emphasizes the heart; moving past what you know (in the head) to what you believe (in your heart) and how it is affecting and driving your life.

The standard of sobriety for the group is found in Matthew 5:27-28:
“You have heard that it was said, `Your shall not commit adultery, but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

This means that in addition to abstaining from masturbation, pornography, and sex outside of marriage, members of the group are striving to live with a pure heart. This may seem to be an impossible standard, and indeed it is—without God’s help. The idea is to face our common brokenness and understand that true, Biblical freedom from lust can’t be accomplished by our strength or efforts alone; we need God’s power every day. Sexual Sobriety isn’t Enough explains this in more detail.

The group meets Monday nights at 6:30PM at a location in Chandler, AZ. Please contact us for the location and more information. There is no cost to attend. Mike Genung’s books will be available for purchase at the meeting.

For those of you outside of the greater Phoenix area, please check out our nationwide men’s groups.

”Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:16
